Beauty trends inspired by the coming of winter
This time of year is perfect for experimenting with new and dramatic makeup looks. We have created some of our favourite looks inspired by Paris Fashion Week 2017.
THE DIRTY ORANGE
The dirty orange aka burnt orange is a favourite, bringing warmth and depth to the eyes. A perfect winter tone when paired with no mascara as we focus on the more natural side of beauty in this look while still incorporating that pop of colour. There is a wide range of terracotta shades to pick from depending on your skin tone and this beauty trend references nineties style in a wearable manner which is easy to team with a slick of clear lip balm.
The edgiest of the three looks is this metallic eye with a metallic deep purple liner. This look references classic rock chicks like Deborah Harry of Blondie and is a wearable statement eye perfect for those winter nights and special occasions. The emphasis is on the lower lash which is defined with a soft, blended aubergine eye pencil while the eye lids are softly coated with a dove grey shadow.

Too Faced, Better Than Sex Mascara, Mecca Cosmetics $35.00
Chantecaille, Luster Glide Silk Infused Eye Liner Amethyst, Mecca Cosmetics $46.00
Chocolate and Chestnut
Get on trend with this wine shadow with deep burgundy shades mixed with high lighting to lift the depth of this new age smoky eye. This is an ideal look for winter evenings, it is created by blending eye shadow in soft shades of chocolate and chestnut, it is simply finished with a coat of light mascara. This look doesn't require additional eye liner, so is an easy for those of us that aren't confident with achieving the perfect line.
