Beauty Writer Augusta Statz's 20-Minute Under Eyes Spa Routine

Need An Instant Refresher? Add These Eye Products To Your Routine, STAT!

We’ve all woken up from a full night of no sleep and prayed that coffee and concealer could get us through the day, am I right? I have been perfecting my at-home DIY spa routine with some top notch products.

I’ll be honest—I don’t always wake up with an extra 20-25 minutes to spare, as I do not consider myself a morning person. I’m one of those - coffee, top bun, lipstick and out the door kind of gals, but whenever I do have time in the mornings, I do my little DIY SPA for my tired eyes, and it works!

For those of you who have stared in the mirror at dark circles, swollen eye lids and under-eye bags, you’re going to love these products too.

HERE WE GO - MY DIY 20-MINUTE UNDER EYE SPA ESSENTIALS :

Honest Hazel’s Cooling Eye Gels a.k.a. your beauty routine’s fairy godmother
Rodin’s Geranium & Orange Blossom Oil a.k.a. the dewy upgrade you’ve been needing AND
Onomie’s Bright Concealing Elixir a.k.a. the double-duty concealer you didn’t know your routine was missing.

HONEST HAZEL'S COOLING EYE GELS

They’re formulated with cactus collagen, vitamin C, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and rose oil. With a stellar roster of ingredients like those, these eye gels will reduce puffiness, brighten under the eyes, firm skin and hydrate that extremely sensitive area.

I was lucky enough to try these out courtesy of a media kit, and I can promise you that I've been using them quite frequently!

For starters, they’re super easy to apply. All you have to do is open the pack and keep them under your eyes for 15-20 minutes. When time’s up, just remove the gels and pat in any remaining product. I placed mine in the refrigerator before using, and I’d highly recommend you do the same to take advantage of that nice, cooling effect.

After one use I noticed super soft skin that felt firmed and was noticeably brighter. Much like a good highlight, these gels will have you looking like you’re glowing from the inside out.

If you’re like me and don’t always have extra time in the mornings, there’s good news. These are also recommended for overnight use. But, I’m not exactly sure how they’ll stay in place if you’re prone to tossing and turning (a.k.a. if you’re also me!). But, maybe slipping an eye mask on top of these would do the trick. It’s certainly worth a try considering you’ll wake looking hella refreshed!

RODIN'S GERANIUM & ORGANGE BLOSSOM FACE OIL

A key to looking refreshed is having hydrated skin. This luxurious (and great smelling) oil is formulated with geranium and rosehip oil among others. It’s designed to seep deep into the skin to hydrate and brighten the face for an all over glow. Apply this along your cheek bones and around your eye area for a dewy glow—no makeup required.

You can use this on its own or as a base for your makeup. And it can most definitely follow the Honest Hazel Eye Gels step in the process, if you so choose.

And last, but certainly not least...

ONOMIE'S BRIGHT CONCEALING ELIXIR

You can finish off your routine with a concealer if you’re looking for some added coverage, but the great thing about this Onomie product (besides its millennial pink packaging) is the fact that it works to treat your skin as you wear it.

Over time, this product claims to decrease the appearance of dark circles and puffiness to help you look more naturally well-rested (even without makeup).
