Instant Superfood For The Face

Instant Superfood For The Face

Go-to masks before a big night out

Regardless of whether I have the luxury of time or not, I look dreadful at the end of a long week and my face needs a superfood health elixir of some sorts; something to bring my complexion back to life and give it a healthy glow.

Sheet masks are my go-to for special occasions but they can be a bit goopy, require a lot more time and the good ones don't come cheap either. Clay and charcoal masques are great for cleansing and detoxing but it normally strips away the moisture, making my skin appear matte and dull. It seems like there was a gap in the market for a quick fix, pre-game mask.

ENTER, SUPERFOOD MASKS BY THE BODY SHOP.

These superfood masks are killing it on the market right now.
Each pot is full of natural ingredients—green tea leaves from Japan, Amazonian Acai, Ethiopian honey, Chinese ginseng and rice, bamboo charcoal from Himalayan foothills, and British roses.
Seriously guys, each pot is pretty incredible!

Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask:
I love the texture of honey on my skin. The Community Trade honey was hydrating and gave my face a beautiful glow. It is so easy to use that I could use it every day! Great for those of us in our 30+, as it soaks the skin with moisture.

Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask:
Filled with Acai berries, guarana and babassu oil, it is like Acai berry jam but for the face. At first, it felt tingly on my face, but there was no redness or irritation so it must’ve just been the active ingredients in it. My skin felt super fresh and awake after washing it off.

British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask:
This almost looks invisible on but it’s full of rose goodness! Feels like honey on the skin and smells delightfully rosy. It is soothing and hydrating to the skin. The rosehip oil and aloe vera help calm the skin and tones it evenly. Luxurious, indeed. (best accompanied by pink champagne).

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask:
I am not a huge advocate of using charcoal or clay masks before going out. But this one has little bits it in that can be scrubbed on to remove dirt and blackheads. I use mine in the shower while shaving, etc. A good one for hot summer months and deep cleansing the product build-up.

Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask:
Ginseng, rice extracts, and sesame seed oil are great for evening out the skin tone. It smells great and exfoliates the skin to brighten it.

These masks are unlike anything else that I have tried recently, and I would recommend giving it a go.

They are all made with 100% veggie ingredients without parabens, paraffin, silicone, or mineral oils.
