1979 Eau de Parfum by Zambesi — the fashion house's first foray into fragrance

Zambesi launched their first perfume, crafted in collaboration with New Zealand-based fragrance house The Virtue. The timeless, gender-neutral scent is sultry and enigmatic, with top notes of bitter almond and bergamot, heart notes of patchouli and vanilla, and base notes of vetiver and leather.

Zambesi founder and designer Elisabeth Findlay wanted to create a scent that embodies the Zambesi brand. “More than a fragrance, 1979 is another textural layer to the Zambesi story.  It translates how we feel, how we see, how we think. I love how emotionally connected we can be to a scent: the memories it conjures, the moments it sparks, and I hope Zambesi 1979 will become part of its wearer’s story.”

Specsavers collaborates with Māori practitioner and tā moko artist Mokonuiarangi (Moko) Smith

Specsavers launched a limited edition frame range as part of their partnership with the Fred Hollows Foundation NZ (FHFNZ). $25 from each pair of glasses sold is donated to The Foundation which goes toward ending avoidable vision impairment and blindness in the Pacific.

“The taratara notching on the temple is a genealogy pattern that signifies the generations past, present and future, reminding us of our shared descent from those ancient navigators that explored the Pacific. The Karu o te Whenua pattern points to the many communities holding fast to their cultural ways and the role Specsavers has played in helping promote eye health within these communities,” says Moko.

“This collection is about making memories, facing fears, and choosing to live adventurously. It also highlights the importance of biodiversity and the people who dedicate their lives to preserving it. I would like you to hold a space for the environmental activists and indigenous people who have lost their lives or have been imprisoned for fighting for justice,” writes Katie in her travel diary.

The latest powerhouse from Emma Lewisham and the brand's first patented product

Unlike a lot of acne treatments on the market that incorporate ingredients designed to remove excess oil and dead skin cells (which, while they can be effective, can also irritate sensitive skin types), the Supernatural Blemish Serum actually features a world-first live probiotic to target the skin's microbiome. As you will notice, the serum comes in a dual pump, designed to be mixed together to keep the formula as stable as possible, so you are receiving the freshest, most active dose of probiotic each time you use it. I think what makes the serum both incredibly effective and unique is that because we are targeting the skin's microbiome, the serum works to treat acne but also the bacteria that lead to eczema, rosacea, and dermatitis. It's hard to explain; it just truly elevates the skin.
