We've said it before, and we'll say it again. Bold colours are the way to go this season. And a minimal take on 80s hues is where we are at atm. Add a bit of "I slept with my makeup on" to soften the harsh lines and create more of smudged, worn in look. Makeup Artist Leisa Welch says "I wanted the makeup to lived in with no hard edges, as though she had woken and was kind of smudgy and sleepy still. The lips are mostly raw with colour, almost chaffed, except the glossy one where maybe she had fallen asleep with her makeup on and messed them up. her cheeks and nose have a feeling that they have been lying on her pillow, warm and roughed up. the skin also feels undone, neither glossy or matte."
Makeup Artist Leisa created an amalgamation of the current beauty trends – undone, 80s pop colours, my lips but better, frosty blush with fresh and bare looking skin. It's subtle but playful, somewhat like being a kid again.
Remember : The best way to use makeup is to treat your face like a creative canvas, instead of something to airbrush!
