MEET AIMEE ♥
and HER GUIDE TO LONDON
Model and skate-boarder Aimee knows how to work an angle, just as much as she knows how to flip-n-on a skateboard like a total pro. Aimee started Bowl Babes in London, an all-girl skate group to connect and inspire younger girls that like to skate. Aimee is the ultimate trooper and she is giving all the ol skater boys club in London some serious envy with her style and landing bolt skills. Here’s a little window into our perfect day in London with Aimee; and an insight into the sunniest girl we know.
Where are you from and where do you live now?
I’m born and raised in London! My Dad is from New Zealand so I have a kiwi passport and I’ve been many times but my home has always been London.
How do you describe what you do?
I’m a skateboarder who’s been lucky enough to get involved in modelling and many creative aspects in the entertainment world, currently I’m working in Selfridges at The Baddest Skate shop and doing the modelling stuff on the side.
How did you get into skating?
I got into skating when I was 10 through non traditional boards like ripsticks and longboards (lol) and when I turned 16 I got my first real board and fell involve with it from there. I’ve been lucky enough to do a lot of cool things including skate for Chanel editorials, fly to other countries for shoots and just meet some incredible people.
Where would you take someone visiting London for the first time?
I would take them to the Golden Jubilee bridge as it’s one of my favourite views in London both in the day time and the night time.
If London was an emoji
I think it would have to be two emojis the crying laughing one 😂 and the face palm one haha
Your favourite places to dance, shop, drink and eat in London
My favourite place to dance would have to be The Haggerston because everyone goes pretty nuts in there and there’s absolutely no judging. Plus my gal Ally DJs there sometimes the vibe is madness. Favourite place to shop is Selfridges and Brixton’s Baddest. Best place to eat for me is depending on my budget if I want something cheap and fast can’t go wrong with the food market in Soho, however if I’m feeling like a good priced up meal my favourite restaurants are Sexy Fish and the Leicester Square Kitchen is really good.
