Welcome to another round of Sauce Beauty Hits. This time we are focusing on our favourite luxe releases for the season.
SHISEIDO BB FOR SPORTS SPF 50+ (& ON-MAKEUP BRIGHTENING SERUM)
Shiseido recently added a tinted BB to their WetForce SPF line. The product comes with a surprisingly high coverage and has a wonderful dewy finish. It can be easily worn on its own sans foundation and highlighter. You also don’t need to spend too much time trying to blend it in unlike other BB creams; this one is quite liquidy and glides on wonderfully.
Also, we hear this product comes with a light contour technology, which means it also highlights a certain area that reflects under the sun. The high SPF component is perfect for protection against the harsh New Zealand sun. Whether you are skiing, snowboarding, running, or swimming, it is pretty much perfect for all sorts of outdoor activity. The SPF is both physical and chemical.
The only CON we can think of is that the shades are on the lighter side. This product is not suited to dark or very dark skin tones. Hopefully, Shiseido changes that soon.
We are also huge fans of their on-make-up spot correcting serum. Read all about it here.

YSL LIMITED EDITION (NIOR STAR) TOUCHE ÉCLAT
YSL recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of this iconic product with a star-struck new packaging. If you aren’t familiar with the Touche Éclat, this iconic product has been loved (over the years) by models, make-up artists, and fabulous women around the world.
The magic wand works well as an illuminator with a tint of colour that helps highlight certain areas with a luminous finish. Use it between the eyebrows and along the sides of the nose to widen eyes. Create a fuller looking lip by contouring the lips using the pen and around the hollow of the chin. I love using mine under-eye and around the corners to create a well-rested dewy complexion.

JO MALONE LONDON X MICHAEL ANGOVE
If you have been following Sauce for a while, you would know that we love all things Jo Malone London. The recent unveiling from the brand has been in collaboration with fine artist Michael Angove, with a special packaging featuring the best-selling fragrance Pomegranate Noir, Lime & Mandarin, Blackberry & Bay, English Pear & Freesia, Orange Blossom and Red Roses (our favourite!).
The new limited edition packaging is sure to sell out quickly (if it hasn’t already, eep!). Get it while it’s still in stock!
TOM FORD CHEEK COLOR
The reformulated Tom Ford cheek colour has been described as “layers of possibility, from a sexy glow to a more dramatic, color-rich look.”
The formula is finer in texture and easy to blend and build up. We give it 5/5 for its long-wearing pigment. It comes in a range of shades and suits every skin type, from pale to darker complexion. Plus points for versatility.
Tom Ford Cheek Color, $105
LANCÔME ADVANCED GÉNIFIQUE EYE LIGHT PEARL SERUM
The newly formulated serum comes with a very handy flexible massage applicator that has a cooling effect on the skin. It is easy to reach around the corners of the eyes and gives a nice boost. The light formula sits well under make-up and isnt too heavy for day wear.
I like using this product under the YSL Touche Éclat to create a relaxed "Sunday morning" no make-up look.
Lancôme Eye Illuminator, $184
