At Sauce, we take those carefully picked beauty products to be our lawfully wedded March Favourites, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, to love and to cherish, till novelties do us part.

We are excited to share with you our monthly round-up post on the best jars, tubes, and bottles among everything we have tried during the month of March. There is a bit of everything: goodies for your face, body, and hair. We chose only those we couldn’t handle the thought of running out of. Full bottles and jars worthy for sure!


Shiseido Clear Stick UV Protector SPF 50+ & UV Lip Colour Splash SPF 42

According to research, Aussie and kiwi women are ageing up to 20 years faster than European women due to the harsh sun, and seeing as there is still plenty of sun beaming down from the sky, you’ll want to pop these products in your handbag for the ultimate SPF protection. The Shiseido Clear Stick  is super easy to glide on with its light and balmy texture and here’s a pro tip—glide it on your cheekbones to double it up as a dewy highlighter for added protection. Then there’s the Shiseido UV Lip Colour Smash, which we just can’t get enough of! Not only is it extremely hydrating with an SPF 42 but it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky, leaving you with fresh, moisturised lips with a hint of colour. This is for sure an everything you need product, perfect for travel.

Bobbi Brown Illuminating Moisture Balm

If you’re after an illuminating product that covers all bases, then look no further than Bobbi Brown’s Illuminating Moisture Balm. Think of it as the 2.0 version of the original moisture balm, with a little extra illumination. Its gentle, hydrating and more importantly—glowing. The perfect moisturising, primer duo to give an added sheen and highlight, working perfectly under foundation. Currently a must-have in every makeup artist's kit.

Clearly Corrective Kiehl’s

If you’re dealing with hyper-pigmentation and acne spots, then you are going to LOVE these products! Let’s start with the brightening and soothing treatment water, this product helps to brighten skin and diminish dullness with help from its key ingredients—Licorice root, Activated C and White Birch Extract. Then there’s the brightening and exfoliating daily cleanser, which does exactly what it claims to do by giving your pores a deep cleanse and brightening and exfoliating your skin, leaving you with a glow for days. We’re sure you’ll love this product as much as we do!

MAC Grand Illusion Glossy Liquid Lip Color

MAC has done it again with a new range of out-of-this-world lip colours. A similar formula to the MAC retro matte but with a glossy, metallic effect, this stunning range of lip colours are packed with iridescent pearls to give off an 80’s holographic feel. With a yummy vanilla scent and a cool, refreshing sensation upon application, with 24 shades to choose from—you’ll want to grab them all!

L’Oreal Paris Paradise Volumising Mascara

If there is one item you need in your kit right now, THIS. IS. IT. Beauty junkies from all over are raving about this product. Think long, thick, luscious lashes that last all day, with minimal smudging and this mascara is not going to break the bank either! While we’re on the topic of the L’Oreal Paradise range, we thought we’d mention that they do an amazing brow pomade for building perfect brows every time. The packaging for both of these products are super cute with a metallic, minimalistic feel, perfect for taking front and centre on your dressing table.

Lush – All Purpose Balm

As we are coming into the Winter months, having a go-to product to protect your skin from dryness and cracking is essential. That’s why we love Lush’s All Purpose Balm, with only three ingredients— jojoba seed oil, candelilla wax and rose flower wax, we can guarantee that there are no nasties in here. Petroleum and fragrance-free, this product soothes, moisturises, protects and relieves. Everything you need really.

Weleda Skin Foods

This iconic cult green beauty product is another go to all-rounder and it must be good seeing as makeup artists, models and celebs such as Rihanna, Julia Roberts, Winona Ryder and Victoria Beckham all swear by it. It has a thick, creamy consistency, kind of like a balm and a cream mixed together and with its active ingredients being—Chamomile Flower Extract, Wild Pansy Extract, Calendula Flower Extract, and Rosemary Leaf Extract, you know it’s only got to be good for your skin. This balm promises to heal wounds, burns and dry cracking skin and it’s got a great citrus-y scent to boot. We rating this as the ultimate "winter beauty must-have".

Guerlain – Kiss Kiss, Love Love Lipstick

We’ve got a soft spot for Guerlain lipsticks and this Kiss Kiss, Love, Love Lipstick is no exception. For starters, the lipstick itself is shaped as a love heart and the baby pink, pearlised packaging is way too kawaii cute. The formula gives off a lovely sheen, with long-lasting coverage and a stunning satin finish and with five shades to choose from it’s hard to pick just one.

Lancôme Custom Sculpting Highlighting Drops

We have fallen in love with this product from Lancôme and if you’re looking for a highlighter that promises to have you seen from space then you’ll love this product too. These custom highlighting drops come is four shades— Champagne Glow, Rose Glow, Golden Glow, and Bronze Glow which are all super pigmented and easily buildable. The Champagne Glow is great for lighter skin tones, while the Bronze glow is great for darker tones. Mix it into your moisturiser for a natural looking glow or dab it on top of your foundation for a shimmery finish.

Dermalogica Sleep Cocoon Gel-Cream

Last but certainly not least for our round-up is Dermalogicas’s Sleep Cocoon Gel-Cream. Add this product on to your night-time skin-care routine to leave your skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. It’s quickly absorbed into the skin and has a heavenly lavender scent, perfect for setting the mood for a restful night’s sleep.
