Conjuring A healthy radiance and A covetable colour palette for fall
Kate Megaw’s AW17 collection was careful and considered, inspired by sci-fi film Soylent Green, a bleak film but with some killer clothes. Kate collaborated with accessories label Matt Nash and jewellery designer Zelda Murray to create a edit of sought after clutches, bucket bags and earrings. Along with a clever little collab with textile designer Marta Buda to create a signature fruity print for Autumn/Winter.
The makeup favoured a ‘skin first, makeup second’ approach, which for the girls who have spent a little more than we care to admit on clothes this week, suits us just fine.
Makeup artist Sam Hart used Smashbox to produce glowing skin with just a hint of blush, and coloured eyeliner in white and soft blues that served only as an accent to the overall look and not a talking point. We were (olive) green with envy of the perfect textured middle parts achieved by Sara Allsop’s hair team and the decision to use Fudge products that worked with the hair instead of against it is definitely a trend we could get on board with.
