Hi guys. Can you believe it's mid-February already? Summer has been wonderful but I simply cannot endure another no-makeup-makeup look. Anyone else with me? Luckily for us, we finally have something to get excited about. Especially if it's served with a bowl of fried dumplings! AMEN.
As we tip toe into Autumn, we're finally able to take it up a notch with our makeup looks. Celebrity Makeup Artist Chay Roberts has created three beauty looks for us to consider when things start to feel a little passé. Consider this post as the anti-gospel. Don't over-think it or over-complicate it. Sure as hell don't watch another You Tube tutorial. Take it as a little nudge in the right creative direction. Pull out the bold eyeshadow, glitter lipgloss, blue mascara, and just have some fun. Do your own thing. And if you screw up, take it all off (we recommend this), and start over.
your girl knows how sparkle
Crystals, sequins or sparkle stickers add a playful touch of shimmer to the face with minimal effort. The smallest amount of lash glue can help to gently adhere them in small clusters around the eyes' cheeks or forehead. Keep the rest of your makeup clean/minimal. Estée Lauder x Victoria Beckham lip balm was used do add extra dimension and shine to the lips, cheekbones and eyelid. [Makeup Artist Chay Roberts on Look No.1].
Saskia wears Erdem x H&M trouser, blazer, purse and earrings, Lonely Lingerie doris bikini.
Rainbows and cherry cola
Multicoloured eyeliner is a fun way to add lots of colour to the eyes in a very precise way. MAC Super-slick eyeliners were perfect to achieve this look. The felt tipped applicator makes it easy, Layer MAC Pigments over top of the liner to customise the colour or add dimension . I used MAC lip pencil Boldly Bare layered with MAC Lip Glass to give the lips definition and dimension without drawing attention away from the eyeliner feature. [Chay on Look No.2]
My lip gloss be poppin'
Extra Dimension and colour for these lips was achieved using Tom Ford lip-colour True Coral, layered with Tom Ford lip Laquer and topped with MAC Glitter and Reflects Gold. [Chay on Look No.3]
