THE 80s have called. they want their carpet back
Wynn Hamlyn’s much-anticipated solo show celebrated 80s opulence with flashes of gold and an array of coats, bags and belts created with Axminster carpet that looked as strong as the models who adorned them. The models brushed-out curls, created by Sara Allsop and her team at Dharma Salon, were the perfect balance of undone nonchalance and, at the same time, carefully crafted. The heaviness of the garments asked for a more stripped back makeup look, created by Smashbox products and led by Sam Hart. Models were sent out with natural, luminous skin and slightly flushed cheeks, as one would expect from adorning such sumptuous and rather weighty outerwear.
"For The Wynn Hamlyn look we created a creamy and minimalistic flawless finish using Primer Oil and BB Water, with a berry stained cheek using the new L.A lights blendable lip and cheek colour in sunset and wine. Brows were naturally groomed and warm wash of colour on the lids finished with touch of mascara."

If fashion has taught us anything this year it's that it's never too late for a little reinvention and sometimes in order to move forward we have to look back. Now please excuse us while we find some scissors and attempt to cut our own bangs.
