The skincare products I legitimately use: Nat Buchanan

In this Sauce series, we uncover the products our favourite faces legitimately use to keep their skin healthy, glowing and just outright stunning. Because there’s nothing that makes you feel more special than when someone you admire trusts you with a secret or two.

I found myself sitting across a small, wobbly red table, gazing deeply into the model and entrepreneur Nat Buchanan’s faultless complexion, thinking to myself, damn, how did you get your skin that good.

Let me set the scene for you; it’s just after 3 PM on a Wednesday, and I’ve been drowning myself in coffee and gummy snakes to fight off the sober bender I had the night before, and I’m running really late to meet Nat even though I live just across the road and I look like a MESS. I had properly met Nat a few weeks prior at my friend Maggie’s store opening in Paddington. I’d always wanted to be her friend. She has that global look about her. Killer hair. Skin like porcelain. Personality as sweet as pie, and the brains to match.

And she knows a thing or two about elevated rituals, and not just what she applies on her face, but also how she rests her luscious head of hair at night. Nat’s lockdown child (we all birthed them, lol) came to life as a textural interruption to her linen bedding. Enter FLIPKIP, a range of silk-linen pillowcases to keep coils at bay without the pesky crease marks we front sleepers battle with. She’s onto something really good, and it comes as no surprise her skincare routine doesn’t disappoint.

The Cleanser: Oil Cleansers - always. I love Emma Lewisham’s Illuminating one.

The Serum: Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum for visibly brighter skin.

The Moisturiser: Weleda Skin Food Light for the perfect makeup base and glow.

The SPF: Alpha-H Daily Essential 50+ Moisturiser for more glow (I’m a shiny gal, what can I say).

The Bodycare: Palmer’s Coconut Body Oil, it’s super affordable and nourishing.

The Haircare: Oribe Curl Gelee has rescued my curls more times than I can count.

The Treatment: Love Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil Treatment Mask. It's super rich and hydrating for textured hair.

The Soap Bar: MAC Shape and Shade Brow Tint forever until I die.
